Fish an Anime RNG Trading Guide
Swap duplicates for Index holes and Lemon Stand carries — without wrecking your income.
Trading lets Fish an Anime RNG players exchange anime characters by sending a request and confirming both sides. It is the cleanest way to fill Index gaps for gem payouts and to park a higher-rarity unit on the Lemon Stand without waiting on pond RNG. This page covers a safe trade loop, what to keep, and how trades interact with Rebirth.
If you are brand new, redeem codes and finish getting started before trading away your only earner.
How a trade works
- Open the trade UI from the in-game social / player list (same session as fishing — see controls if you cannot find it).
- Send a request to a player in your server (max eight people).
- Put characters on your side of the window. Do not confirm until you see the exact units you were promised.
- Both players accept. The swap is final.
There is no hidden Trello of official trade values. Rarity, Lemon Stand multiplier, and Index completion matter more than fan-made price lists.
What you should trade for
- Index missing pieces — Index gem rewards scale better when claimed with a strong Lemon Stand placement (gem farming).
- Higher rarity than your current stand unit — community reports go up to ~15x gems for top rarity versus a common.
- A dedicated cash carry if your platforms are full of fillers (unit roles).
What you should never trade away
- Your only high-rarity Lemon Stand occupant unless the incoming unit is strictly better.
- Your fed carry you just dumped food into (food leveling) — food does not come back after Rebirth, and a trade can delete hours of feeding.
- Multiple mid-tier units for one hyped name you cannot verify in the trade window.
Trading vs fishing luck
Luck still matters. A trade is a shortcut, not a replacement for potions, rods, and casts. Use trades when RNG has already given you duplicates. If you have no extras, keep fishing with luck upgrades instead of panic-trading your income.
Clans, friends, and scams
Clans and friend servers make it easier to find people who will swap Index leftovers. Still:
- Never leave the trade window to click a “middleman” Discord link.
- Never run a script that claims to auto-trade.
- Screenshot the confirm screen if you are swapping high rarity.
The official Discord (via wiki links) is for codes and patches, not guaranteed trade escrow.
Rebirth and trades
Rebirth keeps characters. A trade you complete before resetting still holds after cash and food wipe. That makes pre-Rebirth a good time to dump duplicates you will not place this cycle — just do not trade the unit you need for the next Lemon Stand gem tick.
Index claim timing
When an Index reward is ready:
- Place your rarest traded or fished unit on Lemon Stand.
- Claim Index gems.
- Spend gems in the gem shop on platforms or researchers, not cosmetics.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can you trade in Fish an Anime RNG?
Yes. Send a request, put characters in the window, and both players accept. Confirm the names before you click.
Do traded characters survive Rebirth?
Yes. Characters persist. Cash and food still reset, so do not trade away a freshly fed carry unless the incoming unit is better.
Should I trade for Lemon Stand?
If the incoming unit is a higher rarity than your current stand occupant, yes — gem multiplier is the point of the stand.
Is there an official trade value list?
No official Trello or price sheet. Use rarity, Index needs, and Lemon Stand multiplier instead of rumor spreadsheets.
